CHALLENGES OF THE RULE OF LAW IN THE WESTERN BALKANS – SITUATION AND PERSPECTIVES

The Faculty of Law of South East European University (North Macedonia), in cooperation with the Department of Law, Faculty of Human Sciences of ‘Ismail Qemali University’ of Vlora (Albania), and the Faculty of Law of AAB College (Kosovo), are announcing a Call for Papers for the Sixth International Scientific Conference on Legal Sciences.
The 2025 Conference topic is: “Challenges of the Rule of Law in the Western Balkans – Situation and Perspectives”.
This International Conference will address various legal issues related to the legal systems of the Western Balkan countries which are at different stages of the EU integration process, with its shortcomings and advantages, related to the implementation of the required reforms, where each country faces specific problems and difficulties, where the situation and prospects with the Rule of Law represent a common obstacle towards the faster integration of these countries into the European Union. This conference will examine the various legal aspects of the concerns raised.
Our Conference seeks to facilitate a multi-disciplinary debate and platform between scholars from legal sciences that examines recent developments and prospects at the National, Regional, European, and International levels. We encourage papers that also concentrate on best practices and lessons learned for the issues to be discussed at this Conference.
Authors are invited to submit papers on any subject related to and within the scope of the Conference topic. Submissions from academics, researchers, and practitioners at any stage of their career, including PhD students, will be accepted.
