WBF Project Regional Conference
4 October 2024/ LH4, SEEU, Tetovo, North Macedonia
The conference is organised by the Faculty of Contemporary Social Sciences at SEEU in collaboration with the Faculty of Public Administration, University of Sarajevo; Faculty of Public Administration, AAB College; Faculty of Political Science, University of Belgrade; Faculty of Economy, University “Ismail Qemali” Vlore; and Faculty of Administrative and European Studies (FDES), Podgorica. This project is funded by the WBF under the 6th Call for Project Proposal. The Western Balkans Regional School of Public Administration (ReSPA) has also joined forces with the organizers and is supporting the proceedings of the Conference.
The conference aims to foster discussions on enhancing collaboration among public administration faculties in the region and address pressing issues related to governance, sustainability, and modern state administration. By bringing together esteemed academic institutions from the Western Balkans, the conference will provide a platform for meaningful discussions, knowledge exchange, and the development of practical solutions to identified challenges. The conference is composed to foster future collaborations and shape policy implications by establishing a regional network of public administration faculties, generating policy recommendations, fostering partnerships across sectors, identifying areas for capacity building, and exploring opportunities for joint research projects and funding applications. The outcomes are expected to have a lasting impact on the region, influencing policy reforms, enhancing governance practices, and elevating the quality of public services.

Topics
We invite researchers, policymakers, and practitioners to submit abstracts focusing on one or more of the following topics:
- Governance challenges in the Western Balkans
- Sustainable economy issues in public administration
- Modern state administration and reforms
- Cross-cultural and interdisciplinary approaches to public management
- Innovative policies and practices in public service delivery
- The role of technology in enhancing public sector efficiency
- Citizen engagement and participatory governance
- Capacity building and professional development in public administration
- Comparative analysis of public administration systems in the region
- Ethical considerations and integrity in public service
Submission Guidelines
Abstracts should be submitted in English and should not exceed 300 words. The abstract should include the title, author(s) name(s), affiliation(s), and contact information. Please submit your abstract to v.besimi@seeu.edu.mk.

- All submissions must be made via email at v.besimi@seeu.edu.mk by 26 August 2024.
- Abstracts should be no longer 250 words.
- The paper’s length should be from 4,000 – 6,000 words. (Times New Roman, 12, single-spaced). The title page of the paper should include the author(s) affiliation, email, and a short biography (100 words).
