FUTURE-READY ECONOMIES: INNOVATION, ENTREPRENEURSHIP, AND DIGITAL COMPETITIVENESS

ISCBE 26/ 11-12 June 2026/ European University of Valencia, Valencia, Spain

We are delighted to invite you to the 9th International Scientific Conference on Business and Economics (ISCBE 2026), to be held on 11–12 June 2026, in Valencia, at the European University of Valencia, Spain.

This conference provides a forward-looking and interdisciplinary platform for scholars, policymakers, and practitioners to explore how economies can become resilient, competitive, and future-ready in an era of rapid technological change and global uncertainty. The central theme focuses on the critical role of innovation, entrepreneurship, and digital transformation in shaping sustainable and competitive economic systems.

Key discussions will address topics such as digital competitiveness and economic growth, innovation-driven entrepreneurship, the role of artificial intelligence and data-driven decision-making, startup and ecosystem development, digital skills and human capital, and policy frameworks supporting future-oriented economies. Special attention will be given to how firms, institutions, and regions can adapt to disruptive technologies while fostering inclusive and sustainable development.

We strongly encourage the active participation of master’s and PhD students. The conference offers an excellent opportunity for early-career researchers to present their work, receive constructive feedback, and engage in meaningful dialogue with experienced academics and professionals, contributing to debates that will shape the future of business, economics, and digital transformation.

We look forward to your valuable contributions and to welcoming you for stimulating discussions in Valencia in June 2026.

Catalina Franco

Catalina is a researcher at the Centre for Applied Research (SNF) and the Centre of Excellence FAIR at NHH Norwegian School of Economics. Her research examines how generative AI is reshaping education, work and mental health support—often in gendered ways. Featured in The Economist and Aftenposten, her work shows that men adopt AI tools faster and turn to them more readily for emotional support than women, raising new questions about gender inequality in the age of AI.

One unique author should be registered for each paper or abstract accepted for presentation and publication. One participant can be the author of one up to two papers. In case when a person is the author or co-author of more than one accepted paper, each paper must have at least one unique author registration to be accepted for conference presentation and publication. If multiple, same-single-author papers or abstracts are submitted and accepted, the registration fee must be paid for each of them to be scheduled for conference presentation and publication.

Submitted papers are subject to a double-blind review process which greatly assists in the elimination of any perception of bias for or against an author or institution based on “name” recognition, country, gender, etc. Papers are evaluated based on originality, clarity, methodological standards of a research paper, significance of their findings, and clarity of exposition. The double-blind review for papers to be published in sponsored journals will be conducted by the sponsored journal itself.

Conference proceedings include full-length papers that have successfully passed the review process or evaluation. The proceedings will be published by the renowned publisher SPRINGER in printed and electronic form and have all the features of an academic publication, including its own ISBN which introduces it into a fully refereed conference publication.

For paper submission, please visit our website (https://conf.seeu.edu.mk/iscbe2026/). Authors are invited to submit full papers only. The paper’s length should be from 4,000 – 6,000 words. (Times New Roman, 12, single-spaced). The title page of the paper should include the author(s) affiliation, email, and a short biography (100 words). The title page and manuscript should be in one file, not separated.

For all participants who are unable to attend the conference in person, there will be an option for online participation. The conference link (Google Meet/ZOOM) will be sent to authors in advance.

“Meet the Editors” event will provide participants with insights into the publishing process, journal expectations, and best practices for academic publishing. “Project Networking” will serve as a platform for researchers and professionals to connect, explore collaboration opportunities, and discuss potential project partnerships.
