FUTURE-READY ECONOMIES: INNOVATION, ENTREPRENEURSHIP, AND DIGITAL COMPETITIVENESS

ISCBE 26/ 11-12 June 2026/ Universidad Europea de Valencia, Valencia, Spain

We are delighted to invite you to the 9th International Scientific Conference on Business and Economics (ISCBE 2026), to be held on 11–12 June 2026, in Valencia, at the Universidad Europea de Valencia, Valencia, Spain.

“FUTURE-READY ECONOMIES: INNOVATION, ENTREPRENEURSHIP, AND DIGITAL COMPETITIVENESS”

This conference provides a forward-looking and interdisciplinary platform for scholars, policymakers, and practitioners to explore how economies can become resilient, competitive, and future-ready in an era of rapid technological change and global uncertainty. The central theme focuses on the critical role of innovation, entrepreneurship, and digital transformation in shaping sustainable and competitive economic systems.

Key discussions will address topics such as digital competitiveness and economic growth, innovation-driven entrepreneurship, the role of artificial intelligence and data-driven decision-making, startup and ecosystem development, digital skills and human capital, and policy frameworks supporting future-oriented economies. Special attention will be given to how firms, institutions, and regions can adapt to disruptive technologies while fostering inclusive and sustainable development.

We strongly encourage the active participation of master’s and PhD students. The conference offers an excellent opportunity for early-career researchers to present their work, receive constructive feedback, and engage in meaningful dialogue with experienced academics and professionals, contributing to debates that will shape the future of business, economics, and digital transformation.

The joint organization of this conference results from collaboration within the ChallengeEU Alliance, co-funded by the European Union, and provides an opportunity to further strengthen cooperation among the organizers and other alliance partners.

We look forward to your valuable contributions and to welcoming you for stimulating discussions in Valencia in June 2026.

Submitted papers are first evaluated through a double-blind peer-review process, which minimizes potential bias related to author identity or institutional affiliation, including name recognition, country, and gender. Papers are assessed according to their originality, methodological rigor, significance of findings, and clarity of presentation.

Based on the review outcomes, full-length papers that receive a positive evaluation may be accepted for inclusion in the conference proceedings. These proceedings will be published by Springer in both print and electronic formats and will meet all standards of an academic publication, including the assignment of an ISBN, thereby qualifying as fully refereed conference publications. Inclusion in the Springer proceedings is subject to final approval by subject matter experts and the editorial team.

For papers submitted for publication in sponsored journals, the double-blind peer-review process is conducted independently by the respective journals, and the final publication decision rests with the journal editors and reviewers.

For submissions, please visit our website (https://conf.seeu.edu.mk/iscbe2026/). Authors seeking inclusion in the Springer conference proceedings must submit a full paper of 4,000–6,000 words. Authors who intend to further develop their work after the conference for submission to scientific journals (and not for inclusion in the Springer proceedings) may submit an extended abstract of up to 2,000 words.

All submissions must be formatted in Times New Roman, 12-point font, single-spaced. The title page must include the author(s)’ affiliation(s), email address(es), and a short biography of up to 100 words. The title page and the manuscript must be submitted as a single file.
